Signs of fall

Well it looks like we shall make it to October without a killing frost:) There are some signs of fall arriving thou. The leaves are just starting to turn and I had to go out and buy some of my fall favorites.

Not a killing frost

We did have a frost this weekend, but it was not a killing frost. Some hummers are left, but there is still lots of activity in the garden.

hummingbirds are still here

Stay away frost... please at least for another month

Patchy frost is predicted for Friday night. I thought I had better capture some more pictures of my flowers before they are gone.

The 20 or so hummingbirds are still hanging out here. They will eat from a hand held feeder now:)

It's raining hummingbirds

Hummingbirds are everywhere in my yard now:) Anywhere from 10-20 are in my yard today.

Hummingbirds are everywhere

Migration is underway and our yard in filled with hummingbirds. I counted 6 at one time yesterday and could hear more chirping and chasing each other that I couldn't see. You can't look outside without seeing at least one hummingbird:)
