icy and cold

It was nice to see the sun today even thou it only got up to about 17 degrees. Winter doesn't seem as bad when the sun is out.

winter is back

We got another 5 inches of snow today. We decided to risk the drive to the sledding hill. It turns out it was not the best snow for sledding, but it was beautiful with the big, fat flakes falling.

Is it spring in Wisconsin?

Pansies blooming in January? Bulbs sprouting? Fifty degree temps? It wouldn't be so strange if this wasn't Wisconsin. I am hoping this doesn't mean snow in May or June.

Christmas Clean Up

Yesterday we took down the Christmas decorations. Now I need to box everthing up and put it away. I found the cat this morning sleeping all curled up in the wreath. I guess she missed the tree skirt where she had been sleeping.

Maybe I should move South?

This time of year I am always tempted to move South. Imagine being able to garden year round?
