Yellow Headed Blackbird

I had to get out my Wisconsin bird book when I saw this bird under my bird feeder today. Turns out it is a yellow headed blackbird. They are only here in the summer and usually are found deep in the marshes. I hope he sticks around a while.

I've never, ever seen this bird here in WI. How great that you got such a great photo. I'll be looking for them now....when I'm deep in the marsh:)

I have seen these birds here in southern Nevada in a park called Tule Springs. It has a lot of green grass and ponds with marshy areas.

Very cool. I've never seen one. We live in Germantown. Coincidently, we were at Tule Springs about a month ago while visiting relatives in Las Vegas.

Hello from Blotanical.

I've dreamt of seeing this bird. You're really fortunate.
