This is a blog where I can ramble on about my plants, especially my hummingbird garden, which is my passion. I have been gardening since childhood, but this is only my fourth year as a hummingbird gardener. It is also my fourth year gardening and living in Wisconsin.

That is a special spring treat! I've never seen an oriole in person before. I'd love to have them visit Robin's Nesting Place!
I need to get my hummingbird feeders filled just in case we have any early arrivals.
Just a beautiful feeder to match!
Thanks Robin and Tessa! I'd never seen an oriole until I moved to Wisconsin. For some reason there must be a lot of them here in the summer. I was shocked the first year I moved here and put out the feeder and one showed up within minutes! I usually see the first hummingbird here the first week of May, so I am keeping my eye on the feeders right now hoping to see an early one.
We just saw our first orioles today, although unfortunately it was my wife that saw them and not me. :) About a year ago you posted some pics of your candy corn vine. Do you have any pics that show how big the support was or how big the vine got? I'm thinking about planting them in pots this year. I planted too early last year and the growth was stunted and it never recovered. Thanks.
