Close up of a hawk

Temperatures in the 50's and the sounds of birds migrating over head drew me outside today with my camera. I found this hawk hiding in some brush behind my house. He let me get quite close to him before he took off after some doves.

Those are fantastic photos. What kind of hawk is it? We have a Cooper's Hawk visit our backyard.

Might be a Cooper's, but could be a Sharp-Shinned Hawk or possibly even a Merlin as well...

Those are amazing shots. It may well be a Cooper's, but it could also be a Sharp-shinned Hawk, or even possibly a Merlin...
