This is a blog where I can ramble on about my plants, especially my hummingbird garden, which is my passion. I have been gardening since childhood, but this is only my fourth year as a hummingbird gardener. It is also my fourth year gardening and living in Wisconsin.

Beautiful photos. The sunsets especially!
Yes Lisa, it appears to be a Coopers Hawk. I saw a hawk here today, but too far away to photograph, and wondered what it was. With your photo, I googled images of Coopers Hawks, and that what I saw too!
Cooper's Hawks and Sharpshined Hawks can be quite difficult to tell apart unless you see them at certain angles/views/flying. I'm a birder and I can't tell which of the two it is from the photo. HOWEVER, no reason we can't just assume it's one or the other (heaven knows I do!). There are no Hawk Police to poke us with a stick if we get it wrong. : D
