Hi,
In googling silene regia I came across your site. We are trying to grow them from seed and have a bunch of seedlings in small pots that aren't doing much at all. 1-2 in. base, some sending up stalk others not. Is it a slow growing plant to start with? What do yours look like this year.

I've never grown them from seed. Mine are coming back this year and are about 5 inches high this year. As I remeber they do bloom a bit later in the summer, so hang in there and hopefully they will bloom for you.
