Four O'Clocks

When my son was in kindergarten he brought home a Four O'Clock plant. We saved the seeds and plant them every year now. They just started blooming and were open last night when I took these pictures.

I use to have these at a house I lived in years ago. They are very sweet. I was wondering, mine always opened up late afternoon. Do you think the hummingbirds will enjoy them as one last sip of nectar before they go to sleep. I didn't know if Hummers like these.

I've grown Four O'Clocks at my old house. I'll have to plant some next year. I see that yours are yellow, do they have a scent. Mine were fuchsia colored and had the most wonderful sweet scent. It was great on a hot summer night to have that scent waft in through the window. To answer Bob's question, yes I believe hummers like these flowers but I think it's only the fuchsia colored ones.
