End of September images from the garden

So far no frost, although it did get down in the 30's last night. Still seeing at least one hummingbird a day as they migrate down from the north.

Lazy cat and a clever Blue Jay

Well, here is my cat laying in the sun without a care in the world. The bench looks like a good place for a nap.

I've been watching this blue jay raid my sunflower plants all week. I am going to keep trying for a better picture.

Here is a mum that I just bought today starting to bloom.

Fall shopping

Well, I drove out to my favorite nursery today and came home with 3 mums and some gourds. Here are some pictures of the wonderful flowers there.

Only two more hummingbird pictures. I promise.

Our backyard was like an airport for hummingbirds today. I think we are on the migration map now.

Still have some migrators hanging out here in the cold.

Stay away frost... please at least for another month

more pictures of the garden in September

last days of summer

Well I saw some 30 degree temps are predicted for night time later this week. That could mean frost, so I figured I would capture some more images of my garden. Some of the hummingbirds have left this week too. So sad.
